His will shows land owned in Misterton Nottinghamshire, It is possible he came from that area. Israel married twice, his first Wife Susanna Crowston was a local farmers daughter. He had two children before she died, Elizabeth and Israel. He married his best friends step daughter Anne Holland Capiter. They had three children.
